When you add Professional Installation at checkout, we route your order to a nearby Authorized Installer and coordinate the rest. You enjoy a factory‑grade fit and finish, backed by Mintz Garage support.


What We Install

  • Custom Seat Upholstery (front 2 + rear bench): Full replacement skins—not slip‑on covers.

  • Steering Wheels: Direct swap with transfer of trims/controls; airbag handled per OEM procedures.

  • Interior Trim & Accents: Dash/console/door components when your order includes them.

Our kits are built to replace OEM upholstery. Expect an OEM‑level fit with your chosen leather, suede, perforation, piping, and stitching.


How Installation Works

  1. Add Installation at Checkout
    Choose the option on the product page. We’ll display an estimated labor window for your vehicle.

  2. We Assign Your Installer
    We route your job to the closest Authorized Installer from our network (or your preferred shop if listed). You’ll receive their contact details and profile.

  3. Schedule Your Appointment
    Your installer will reach out within 1 business day to confirm a date. Typical lead time is under 10 calendar days.

  4. Show Up, Drop Off, Done
    Install time varies by vehicle; see the guidance below. Your installer uploads photos for quality control, and we release their payment—no surprises for you.


Timeline & Typical Shop Time

  • Seat Upholstery (front + rear): 6–10 hours (same‑day drop‑off or overnight)

  • Steering Wheel: 1–2 hours

  • Interior Trim Package: 1–3 hours

Pricing & Payment

  • You pay Mintz Garage at checkout—no separate shop invoice.

  • Installation fees are flat‑rate by product/vehicle (we handle regional differences behind the scenes).

  • If your vehicle needs extra work (e.g., foam repair, broken clips), we’ll ask your approval before proceeding.


Quality You Can Count On

  • Stitch lines aligned and parallel; inserts centered within ±2 mm.

  • Tight, uniform fit; light settling is normal—wrinkles should relax within 72 hours.

  • OEM torque specs and diagnostics respected (airbags, occupancy sensors, seat memory, heat/cool where applicable).

  • Cabin protection during service (covers on seats, floors, and panels).

Every install is documented with photos and a completed checklist.


After Your Install

  • Inspect the seats/wheel with your installer and sign off.

  • Test functions: airbag light off, seat movement/memory, heat/cool (if equipped), steering controls.

  • Care tips: avoid harsh cleaners for 7 days; use pH‑balanced leather care thereafter.


Warranty & Support

  • Product Warranty: 6 months standard on Mintz Garage products.

  • Workmanship: Covered by the Authorized Installer for 90 days (unless restricted by local law).

  • Extended Coverage: Mintz Garage Society members receive extended protection; eligible warranty labor is covered at published rates.

  • Claims: Contact Mintz Garage first. We diagnose and coordinate replacement materials and labor when approved.


Where We Operate

United States coverage with ongoing expansion. If you’re outside a coverage area, we’ll present options—nearest partner or scheduling assistance with a shop you nominate.


What to Bring on Install Day

  • Vehicle with enough fuel for test and HVAC checks

  • Key(s) and any wheel/seat lock tools

  • Clear trunk/rear seat area for component staging

Optional: remove personal items and child seats to speed things up.

Yes—installers follow OEM procedures. If a diagnostic reset is required, your installer will handle it.

Can I supply my own parts?

What if fitment isn’t perfect?
Tell us within 7 days—send photos or let your installer document the concern. We’ll correct it.

How do refunds work if I cancel?
Before scheduling: full refund of install fee. After scheduling: a modest scheduling fee may apply. Once installation starts, the fee is earned.
